Cushion Project

‘Cushion Project’ was a proposition in the urban geography, a temporal paralysis of the filling or the emptying of a space, a virus and an airbag. By inflating this huge non-reflective monotone black 8 x 10 meter ‘cushion’ in an enclosed or open space within the cityscape, the structure formed itself around its surroundings. The struggle against this space consuming virus and the given space either paralyzed  or eased the tension of space.
‘Cushion Project’ dealt with exploring different kinds of urban space and at the same time served as a platform to invite other artists and make an opportunity to create a work of art. This project was taken into various forms and put into collaborations with other artists, musicians, sound artists, performers, as an event, show, exhibition or as a performance.
