In 2012, Kewyearn Chung and Sodam Yoon initiated a project called ‘Poetic City’ which focused on the pure visual form of the man-made objects that compose a cityscape. Inspired by the shape of sidewalk blocks, stripes on crosswalks, and the irregular formations of a district, by recomposing these city elements while excluding their function, ‘Poetic City’ tries to convey the emotional imagery they captured from Seoul.
